Pizza Dough
Toppings
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, mix together the self-raising flour, salt, and yogurt. Knead for 2–3 minutes until a smooth dough ball forms.
Roll the dough out into mini oval shapes on a lightly floured surface.
Transfer the dough to a lined baking tray or pizza tray.
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle over the grated cheese and scatter over the ham.
To make the skull mushrooms, cut each mushroom in half. Use a small knife or straw to cut two small eye holes on the round side. Cut small slits underneath to create a nose or mouth shape if desired. Ask an adult to help with any cutting, especially when using a sharp knife.
Place the mushroom skulls evenly over the pizza.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Don’t forget to ask an adult to help you with cutting, the oven and of course, cleaning up!
Seasoned passata is simply passata mixed with herbs and seasonings. To make your own, stir the following into 80g passata: ½ tsp dried mixed herbs or Italian seasoning, ¼ tsp garlic powder, a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper. For extra spooky skulls, place the mushroom slices on top of the cheese so the eye holes stay visible after baking.
